Wire drawer (m|f|d) at Hagener Feinstahl GmbH in Hagen. Full-time (40 h/week), three-shift system, immediate start. On-site training — career changers welcome.

Your tasks

  • You operate and monitor our drawing machines, keeping to the production parameters.
  • You independently draw wires from 0.20 mm to 12.00 mm from stainless steel and non-ferrous metals.
  • You monitor and control the ongoing production process.
  • You carry out quality checks and document the results.
  • You label and weigh the finished material.
  • You report your work back in the production data system (BDE).
  • You clean and maintain drawing machines and drawing tools.

Your profile

  • A completed apprenticeship in metalworking — ideally as a metal technology specialist (forming and wire technology) or as a machine and plant operator (metal and plastics technology / wire production). Desirable, but not a must.
  • Alternatively, professional experience in the tasks described above.
  • Technical understanding and an independent way of working.
  • Quality awareness and team spirit.
  • Willingness to work shifts (early, late and night shift).
  • What you don't need: experience in the wire industry. Nobody learns wire drawing at vocational school — you learn it at our plant, on the machine, from colleagues who have been doing it for years. We have hired bricklayers and trained them in-house to become wire drawers.

What we offer

  • We train you on site to become a wire drawer — directly on the machine, guided by experienced colleagues, during working hours.
  • An owner-managed, values-based family business with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths.
  • An appreciative, people-focused leadership culture geared towards long-term collaboration.
  • An economically very stable corporate group that keeps developing steadily and with a view to the future.
  • Career development opportunities within the company and the corporate group.
  • Attractive, performance-based pay.
  • 30 days of holiday.
  • Holiday and Christmas bonus.
  • Employer contributions to the company pension scheme.
  • The option of a job e-bike.
  • Free drinks and fruit.
