What we observed.
Demand for stainless steel in tight tolerances keeps growing — driven by medical technology, filtration and energy. At the same time, many buyers are looking for suppliers who can deliver at short notice without compromising on documentation and traceability.
It was striking how often the topic of supply security came up unprompted. Our stock of around 2,500 tonnes of stainless steel wire and lead times of about three weeks was the decisive argument in many conversations.
The decision that follows.
We are continuing to expand our range in stainless steel — from pre-drawn wire up to 15.00 mm through to fine wire from 11 µm. Rather than broadening across every material, we are consistently deepening what we specialise in.
In parallel, we are investing in the development of our own grades and refined surfaces. Anyone who asked about solutions beyond the standard at the fair will find even more answers there in future.
