A strong comeback for the BenderWire Group
From August 1, 2025, the BenderWire Group will be saying: Welcome back, Jürgen Alex! It is with great pleasure that we welcome Mr. Alex back to our group of companies - to the very place where he already provided important impetus as plant manager in 2005/2006 and played a decisive role in shaping the plant. His return is not only a personal reunion, but also a strong signal for our common course: growth, technological excellence and cooperation that makes performance possible.
Mr. Alex is returning to the place where he was once able to successfully contribute his enthusiasm for stainless steel, precision wire and genuine team culture - bringing with him valuable experience from leading positions in the international stainless steel industry.
A life full of stainless steel expertise
Jürgen Alex stands for sound knowledge, in-depth industry expertise and a clear passion for materials. After his military service, he completed his studies in metallurgy and materials science at RWTH Aachen University (Dipl.-Ing.). This laid the professional foundation for his career in the stainless steel industry at an early stage.
He has been active in the industry since 1994. Initially at Krupp Edelstahlprofile, later in leading positions at Deutsche Edelstahlwerke and the Swiss Steel Group. In the years that followed, he took on central responsibility as:
- CEO at Böllinghaus Steel
- COO / CSO / CEO of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke
- Member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Steel
These positions stand not only for management experience, but also for a deep understanding of markets, materials and industrial processes - exactly the combination that is crucial for a wire group with technological ambitions.
What Jürgen Alex brings to the table

Mr. Alex sees stainless steel not just as a material, but as the key to high-performance applications. His expertise covers the entire spectrum - from material development and manufacturing processes to strategic orientation in demanding markets.

The combination of experience, technical depth, strategic vision and team orientation makes our group ready for the next steps.
